A little bit of Memesi has crossed US borders: Luca recently took part in the mission to the West Coast organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy. A trip aimed at fostering connections and exploring the most innovative contexts on the planet, which contributes in our own small way to the opening of Memesi to the international market.
The delegation landed in San Francisco, then moved to the beating heart of Silicon Valley and ended the trip in Seattle.
The packed program began with a valuable kick-off meeting at INNOVIT, Italian Innovation & Culture Hub; then a stop at Salesforce Tower and Airbnb headquarters; a visit to Meta’s famous Menlo Park and privileged entry to Apple Park in Cupertino, followed by meetings at Waymo, the automotive division of Alphabeth. Finally, to close on a high note: Intel, Palantir, Microsoft, Boeing and none other than Amazon.
All this, meeting in person with Italians who have taken their ingenuity overseas and now stand at the highest levels of U.S. Big Tech, such as Luca Colombo, Country Director for Italy for meta and Luca Maestri, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Apple (pictured).
It was a week of pure inspiration that showed us how innovative ideas (in a proactive and supportive environment) can indeed turn into practical and successful solutions.
We have had the privilege of engaging with figures placed in the key roles of technology giants, who continue to move the boundaries of innovation further, but who, seen up close, are nothing more than real people, who face challenges and opportunities on a daily basis, proportional to the strength they and their team can bring to bear.
We sincerely thank the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy for making us part of this extremely enriching experience. Their efforts in bridging the gap between Italian and American businesses are invaluable, and we will treasure all the perspectives gathered, and bring them to this side of the world.
