ABOUT THE PROJECT
A key aspect of the redesign was the color palette. The original colors were revisited, drawing inspiration from the official tones of the American flag, to maintain a connection to national pride while ensuring the visual identity remained fresh and adaptable in the modern era. These adjustments reflect both tradition and a forward-looking vision, allowing the brand to maintain a strong and recognizable presence across diverse contexts. The graphic structure of the logo was also reconsidered. A geometric grid system was developed to establish a clear visual hierarchy and ensure that all elements of the logo are in perfect balance. This new system enhances the overall coherence and impact of the logo, both in print and digital formats, offering greater flexibility and consistency, and ensuring the logo remains legible at any size. In addition to the visual refinement, the opportunity was taken to redesign key elements that define the logo’s identity: the American flag and the figure of Hermes. Hermes, symbolizing communication and exchange, plays a crucial role in conveying the Chamber’s mission. The redesigned version of Hermes ensures that the symbol is both visually striking and easily reproducible at various scales.

Alongside the logo restyling, a complete set of coordinated materials was developed to reflect the updated visual identity and positioning of the historic association. From business cards to letterheads, brochures to digital assets, the new coordinated materials ensure a consistent and professional presence across all communication touchpoints, reinforcing the Chamber’s authoritative and contemporary positioning.
A comprehensive digital brand manual was also created, providing a clear set of rules for the application and usage of the official logo. This manual serves as both a practical and strategic tool, ensuring the correct and consistent use of the visual identity across all channels. It outlines guidelines on color usage, typography, logo proportions, and more, helping to maintain the integrity of the brand across various platforms.
The result of this collaboration is a refreshed brand identity that honors the institution’s heritage while preparing it for the challenges of the future. The updated logo and visual system reflect the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy’s rich legacy and mission, while also positioning the brand for continued success and clarity in the years to come.
