Da Pietro 1955

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Da Pietro isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a story that begins in 1948, when Pietro Porrini opened the Bar Bottegone just steps from Como’s cathedral. A few years later, in 1955, that story took the shape it still holds today: a warm, elegant dining room that became the first in town to stay open late into the night, quickly becoming a favorite among locals. Over seventy years have passed, and the spirit of that first gesture — welcoming people with good food and authentic hospitality — is still very much alive. Today, the founder’s grandson, also named Pietro, leads the restaurant with a contemporary eye and a deep respect for family legacy. Da Pietro has become a refined culinary landmark, where tradition and innovation blend naturally. The menu brings together seasonal ingredients, classic Italian flavors, and modern techniques, resulting in dishes that feel both familiar and new. All of this happens in a space where architectural charm meets understated elegance, right in Piazza Duomo — a setting that mirrors the balance between history and vision that defines Da Pietro.

More than a name, Da Pietro is a living heritage — and a brand in constant motion. Alongside the historic restaurant, the group has expanded with Popup, a rebellious sibling with a pop-rock soul, and Pastificio Da Pietro, a newly opened pasta lab where the most genuine Italian flavors take center stage. Memesi’s communication work evolves accordingly, shaping distinct yet connected identities that all speak the same language: one of excellence, authenticity, and timeless style.
