September 18, 2025. We opened the courtyard of Palazzo Pantera to the public for a day of shared creativity, in the intimate and vibrant setting that is our home in Como. It was our day at the Lake Como Design Festival: with the events Crafted Papers and Crafted Sips, we curated spaces and moments first dedicated to play and design, and later to networking and conviviality.
None of this would have been possible without Paper & People and Folllit (Valerio Romano), who filled the day with colors and gave meaning to the theme Fragments, bringing papers of different textures, weights, colors, and stories, which became an active part of the experience.
The workshop Taqquini, conceived and led by Valerio, guided participants in creating unique notebooks, entirely made from reclaimed paper – torn-out pages from novels, maps, magazines, colored cardstock – and bound by hand.
Completing the experience was a simple yet brilliant idea: Paper Personality. A playful activity that made it easier to break the ice and start conversations and, for many, their very first step into the universe of paper, a world with so much to tell.
For Memesi, supporting young artists and creating through upcycling (the revaluation of discarded materials without altering them) is a true source of pride.
The day ended with a moment we’ll carry with us: the workshop table turned into a social table, and the courtyard into a celebration. We officially marked our arrival in Como with friends, clients, partners, familiar faces, and new ones – people we look forward to meeting again soon.
A special thanks to Da Pietro for the invaluable food & beverage support throughout the evening. And to everyone who stopped by, got curious, joined in, and shared the day with us.
