On Saturday, October 14th, during Lake Como Creativity Week, the first issue of Anticamera was presented to the public — a fanzine created to explore and narrate the textile culture of Como through an independent, visual, and experimental editorial format.
Memesi curated the art direction and graphic development of the project, which was donated as part of Sinergie — our annual corporate social responsibility initiative, where we offer our skills and creative resources to support a local non-profit organization.
The idea behind the project comes from Pietro Fadda, creative director and originator of Anticamera, who turned the launch into a live performance at Opificio Zappa.
A choice that amplified the hybrid, performative nature of Anticamera: not just a publication to browse, but an evolving object that came to life in front of the audience.
The project was made possible thanks to Paper & People, who selected the paper stock, and Tipografia Mistero, who handled the printing and production with great care.
The result is a fanzine with an unusual format, expressive layout, and leporello inserts — a publication that encourages tactile engagement, slow reading, and attention to what often remains on the margins.
We’re proud to have supported this creative, collaborative journey — and to have helped give form to a project that celebrates beauty, local identity, and the intersections between art, craftsmanship, and publishing.
